A record six Pac-10 volleyball teams are ranked among the Top 11 in the 2008 CBS College Sports/AVCA Preseason Top 25.

STANFORD leads all Pac-10 teams, coming in at No. 2, followed by No. 4 USC, No. 5 CALIFORNIA, No. 6 UCLA, No. 9 WASHINGTON and No. 11 OREGON. No other conference has more than four teams ranked among the Top 25.

The season gets underway next Fri., Aug. 29 with the Runza/AVCA Showcase featuring matchups between the Pac-10's elite in No. 2 Stanford and No. 4 USC, and Big 12 Conference powerhouses No. 3 Texas and No. 7 Nebraska.
