July 31, 2008
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- The Pacific-10 Conference Volleyball schedule features 11 live telecasts of league matches for the 2008 season by its television partner, FOX Sports Net. The Washington State volleyball team, led by new head coach Andrew Palileo, will kick-off the season with their 3 p.m. Sept. 27 match at Arizona State being telecast live around the nation. Announcers Paul Sunderland, Karch Kiraly and Holly McPeak, fresh from their coverage of volleyball at the Beijing Olympic Games, will comprise the broadcast crew for the Pac-10 matches. The Pac-10 is coming off a stellar 2007 campaign in which three teams reached the Final Four and a record seven players earned First Team AVCA All-America honors. Washington State begins fall preseason practice next week as Palileo and his staff, Associate Head Coach Brian Lamppa and Assistant Coach TeAna Tramel, welcome 17 women to the new era of Cougar volleyball.
