2/5/2010 Pac-10 Q&A with Oceana Bush, Washington State Women's Volleyball Oceana Bush, of Spokane, Wash., is a freshman volleyball player at Washington State. Named to the 2009 Pac-10 All-Freshman team, Bush helped the the Cougars post their first winning season and return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2002. 12/22/2009 This Year in Pac-10 Women's Volleyball STANFORD captured its 13th Pac-10 title and was joined by seven other Pac-10 teams in the NCAA Tournament. The eight teams selected to participate in the NCAA Tournament equaled a Pac-10 record set in 2002... It's the ninth consecutive year in which the Pac-10 has sent at least six teams into the NCAA Tournament, and 18th overall. California's Hana Cutura was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year, UCLA's Lauren Cook was tabbed as Pac-10 and AVCA Freshman of the Year, while Washington State's Andrew Palileo was selected Pac-10 Coach of the Year. 12/18/2009 California's Cutura Named Honda Sports Award Nominee California volleyball senior outside hitter Hana Cutura was selected as a nominee for the 2009-10 Honda Sports Award, earlier this week. Cutura is the first Golden Bear volleyball player to be nominated for the prestigious award in its 34-year history. 12/16/2009 Thirteen Pac-10 Women's Volleyball Players Earn AVCA All-America Honors For the fourth consecutive season, the Pac-10 has placed at least 12 student-athletes on the AVCA All-Americans squads, with 13 athletes makings this year's teams. The 13 athletes marks the most by any conference, just ahead of the Big Ten (10) and Big 12 (9). In addition, UCLA freshman setter Lauren Cook was named the Division I AVCA Freshman of the Year.
