Pac-10 Names Women's Soccer All-Academic Teams

The 2009 Pacific-10 Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic teams were announced today by Commissioner Larry Scott. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Stanford will face Santa Clara, UCLA will suit up against Virginia and Oregon State will travel to take on Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen.

Pac-10 Women's Soccer Roundups: Nov. 15, 2009

UCLA and Oregon State join Stanford as the remaining Pac-10 teams in the Sweet 16. UCLA defeated San Diego State, 5-0, while the Beavers needed a golden goal from Melinda Ingalls to beat Florida, 1-0.

Overall No. 1 seed Stanford was tested in the second round, but prevails over BYU in the NCAA Tournament to move on.
