Cougar Women Host Second Exhibition Game

PULLMAN - The Washington State University women's basketball team will play its second and final exhibition game of the 2009-10 season Sunday against Eastern Oregon. Tip-off between the Cougars and Mountaineers is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Friel Court. The Cougars are coming off a 76-58 defeat of Lewis-Clark State last week in the team's season-opening exhibition game. Sophomore guard Jazmine Perkins was one of four WSU players to score in double figures, registering a game-high 19 points. Redshirt freshman center Katie Madison recorded a double-double in her first action as a Cougar, scoring 11 points and pulling down a game-high 15 rebounds. Eastern Oregon dropped its first contest of the season, falling 65-60 at Montana Tech. WSU opens the 2009-10 regular season at home against UC Davis Nov. 15 at 2 p.m.
