TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Jeanette Pohlen made five 3-pointers to score 15 points, as No. 11 Stanford held off a late Arizona rally for a 70-61 victory Sunday.

The Cardinal (11-3, 2-0) limited Arizona to four field goals for nearly 16 minutes of the second half to take a 65-40 lead.

But Arizona responded with a 17-0 run, capped by Reiko Thomas' 3-pointer, to pull within 65-57.

Stanford had four players in double figures. Nnemkadi Ogwumike added 14 points, Jayne Appel had 11 and Jillian Harmon scored 10.

The victory was Stanford's 12th straight over Arizona and 18th in the last 20 meetings.

Arizona was led by Ify Ibekwe's 23 points and 13 rebounds. Thomas had 12 of her 15 points in the second half, while Amina Njonkou had 14.

Arizona (7-6, 0-2) cut the lead to 53-39 before the Cardinal went on a 12-1 run, highlighted by Pohlen's 3-pointer and a three-point play by Kayla Pedersen.
