2010 Pac-10 Wrestling Championship

The 48th Pac-10 Conference Wrestling Championships hosted by UC Davis will be held in the Pavilion on Fri., Feb. 26 and Sat., Feb. 27. Individual Conference titles in 10 weight classes, as well as, the overall team title will be up for grabs during the two-day tournament.

Zack Giesen, of Grants Pass, Ore., is a redshirt junior wrestler at Stanford. Named the 2007 Pac-10 Co-Newcomer of the Year, Giesen etched his name into third place on the all-time Cardinal freshman win chart with 29 wins.

The Stanford wrestling team was listed among the nation's best academic programs when the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced its annual Division I All-Academic Top 30 and individual all-academic wrestling teams for the 2008-09 season. Stanford came in third among all Division I programs with a 3.2574 GPA.
