The Golden Bears, ranked as high as 17th in this week's Soccer America poll, have 15 points on the season, two points ahead of second-place UCLA ... Just two weeks of regular season play are left on the docket, including eight Pac-10 matchups ... Cal SR F Javier Ayala-Hil helped his team to two wins over the weekend as he was involved in all three goals in Sunday's match against the Bruins ... Ayala-Hil scored the first goal and recorded assists on the next two ... It was his third and fourth assists of the season, which ties him for fourth in the Pac-10 with a 0.27 apg average ... OREGON STATE (7-10-0, 2-5-0) bolstered the Pac-10's record vs. non-conference opponents (26-14-8, .625) as it picked up two wins over the weekend, including a 2-0 shutout of Loyola Marymount on Thursday and a 4-2 win over Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday ... SR F Nick Webb recorded a goal in both matches for the Beavers, including the game-winner against LMU ... OSU set a season-high with four goals against the Roadrunners ... Webb led the team with two goals, four points and nine shots on the week ... San Diego State looks to get back in the win column with a non-conference match at home against Alabama A&M on Sun., Nov. 11 ... The Aztecs are 5-2-1 at home this season ... STANFORD (6-4-5, 3-2-2) also defeated the top two teams in the Conference over the weekend, securing a 2-1 win over UCLA on Friday, followed by a 3-0 shutout of San Diego State on Sunday ... SR MF Kyle Hency was named Pac-10 Player of the Week as he registered three goals, including both game-winners, and six points on the weekend ... Hency fired six shots, scoring on half of his attempts ... UCLA JR F Maxwell Griffin scored two goals on the weekend, one in each match against the Cardinal and the Bears ... Griffin paces the Pac-10 in points (18) and goals (9), and is tied for fifth in shots (34) ... WASHINGTON (7-6-2, 2-3-1) had a bye week but returns to the pitch this weekend as it hosts the Bay Area schools ... The Huskies have won two of their last three matches and will be looking for a strong end to the season to help their push for postseason play ... In 2006, the Pac-10 sent four teams to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2003 season ... In that tournament, UCLA advanced to the finals before falling in the national championship game to UC Santa Barbara, 2-1.
