Current UCLA men's soccer players Mike Enfield (Ventura, CA/Ventura HS), Adolfo Gregorio (Hilmar, CA/Hilmar HS), Leonard Griffin (Palmdale, CA/Littlerock HS), Ahmed Khalil (Anaheim Hills, CA/Canyon HS) and Ty Maurin (Chino, CA/Don Lugo HS) will compete with the Under-19 San Bernardino Blast club team at the 2002 Snickers U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships. The championships run from July 23-28 in Germantown, MD.

The Blast, which is making its first-ever appearance at the national championships, will kick off play on Wednesday, July 24 with a 2:00 pm (ET) game against the Texans '82/'83. On Thursday, July 25, the Blast will face Chicago Magic SC at 10:00 am. Round robin play concludes on Friday, July 26 with an 8:00 am game against the Stony Brook Panthers. The U-19 finals will take place on Sunday, July 28 at 3:00 pm.

At the Region IV Championships, Khalil scored eight goals during the tournament, and in the regional championship game, Enfield recorded the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over two-time national finalist Colorado Rush Nike.
