Oregon State's Mwanga Selected No. 1 in 2010 MLS Superdraft

OREGON STATE F Danny Mwanga became the fourth all-time Pac-10 player selected with the No. 1 overall pick by the expansion Philadelphia Union in the 2010 Major League Soccer (MLS) Superdraft on Thursday. Ten Pac-10 men's soccer players were chosen in this year's draft, including four players going in the first round. UCLA led all schools with five draft picks. SAN DIEGO STATE had three players chosen, while CALIFORNIA and Oregon State each had one player picked.

This Year in Pac-10 Men's Soccer

The Pac-10 finished up a stellar season in which it boasted a 31-15-6 record outside the Conference which UCLA advance to its 27th-straight NCAA Tournament.

    Four Pac-10 Men's Soccer Players Named NSCAA/Performance Subaru All-Americans

    Four Pac-10 men's soccer players were recently named All-Americans by the National Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). UCLA led the Conference with two selections, followed by OREGON STATE and STANFORD with one each.

    Pac-10 Men's Soccer Weekly Release

    The Pac-10 boasts a 31-15-6 record against teams in other conferences. UCLA won back-to-back Pac-10 titles, giving them a total of six. Oregon State sophomore forward became the first Beaver to be named Pac-10 Player of the Year.
