Complete Release in PDF Format THIS WEEK IN PAC-10 FOOTBALL: The bulk of the non-conference schedule has been completed and Pac-10 teams now turn to league play beginning with a full slate of five conference games this week. Pac-10 action finds ARIZONA at CALIFORNIA, WASHINGTON STATE at USC, OREGON STATE at ARIZONA STATE, OREGON at STANFORD and WASHINGTON at UCLA. Here is a look at the games of Sat., Sep. 22 (ranking is the AP media Poll followed by the USA Today Coaches Poll):

SERIES NOTES FOR THE GAMES OF SAT., SEP. 22: WASHINGTON STATE (2-1) at USC (2-0) - 5:00 PDT - ABC regional telecast - The Series: USC and Washington State have met 66 times dating to 1921 with the Trojans dominating the series by a 54-8-4 count. However, three of those eight Cougar wins have come in the last nine meetings of the series. The Trojans have won the last four meetings with the last Coug victory coming at Pullman in 2002 (30-27 OT). USC leads 36-4-2 in games played in Los Angeles with WSU's last L.A. win coming in 2000 (33-27). . . . Last Year: USC and Washington State met early in the Conference season at Pullman and fought toe-to-toe with the No. 3-ranked Trojans hanging on for a 28-22 victory. The games stats were nearly even and both teams got good pass-and-catch performances from their QBs and wideouts. For SC, QB John David Booty passed for 269 yards and three TDs, with WR Steve Smith pulling in a career-high 11 receptions for 186 yards and three scores. On the WSU side, QB Alex Brink passed for 287 yards and two TDs, with WR Michael Bumpus also going for a career high with 11 receptions for 112 yards. Booty and Brink would go on to be named first-team and second-team All-Pac-10 quarterbacks, respectively, at the end of the year. OREGON STATE (2-1) at ARIZONA STATE (3-0) - 7:00 MST/PDT - The Series: Arizona State and Oregon State have met 33 times with the Sun Devils leading the series 23-9-1. The teams have split the last four meetings, which snapped a seven-game ASU winning streak in the series. In 20 games played at Tempe, the Devils hold a pronounced 17-3 advantage and have won the last 15 in a row. The Beavers last victory against the Sun Devils at Sun Devil Stadium came in 1969 (30-7) before ASU was a member of the Pac-10. OSU has never beaten ASU at Tempe since the Sun Devils joined the Conference. It should be noted, however, that a landmark victory for the OSU program came at Sun Devil Stadium when the Beavers dismantled Notre Dame 41-9 in the Fiesta Bowl following the 2000 season. ASU coach Dennis Erickson goes against his old charges. He posted a mark of 31-17 (.646) and led Oregon State to three bowl appearances in four years (1999-2002) as head coach of the Beavers. Included was that Fiesta Bowl victory over Notre Dame. . . . Last Year: Oregon State and Arizona State met at Tempe and the Beavers, fresh off an upset of USC, hammered the Sun Devils 44-10. OSU scored on its first five possessions and stretched its winning streak to four games. OSU TB Yvenson Bernard rushed for two TDs and PK Alexis Serna booted three field goals. The Beaver defense limited the Devils to 223 yards total offense (99 rushing, 124 passing), intercepted two passes and posted four QB sacks. OREGON (3-0) at STANFORD (1-1) - 7:00 PDT - The series: Stanford and Oregon have met 70 times dating to 1900 with the Cardinal leading the series 43-26-1. In 40 games played at Stanford, the Card leads 27-12-1. However, it's been all Oregon of late as the Ducks have won five straight and six of the last seven. Included are the two most recent meetings at Stanford. The last Stanford victory in the series came at Eugene in 2001 (49-42) and the last Cardinal home win came in 1997 (58-49). . . . Last Year: Oregon and Stanford opened the 2006 season at Eugene and the Ducks rolled to a 48-10 win, their largest margin of victory ever against the Cardinal. Oregon TB Jonathan Stewart rushed for 168 yards and two TDs before leaving in the third quarter with an injured ankle. Oregon rushed for 298 yards on the way to 534 yards total offense. A bright spot for Stanford was WR Mark Bradford, who had nine receptions for 108 yards and the lone Cardinal TD. WASHINGTON (2-1) at UCLA (2-1) - 7:15 PDT - FSN national cablecast - The Series: UCLA and Washington have met 66 times dating to 1932 with the Bruins leading the series 35-29-2. UCLA has won eight of the last 10, but Washington won last year to snap a five-game Bruin win streak in the series. UCLA leads 22-10-1 at home, including 8-2 at the Rose Bowl, where the Bruins have won the last five. . . . Last Year: Washington and UCLA opened Conference play at Seattle with the Huskies erasing a 16-0 deficit to come back for a 29-19 win. The game was primarily a defensive struggle (total offense--UCLA 278, UW 249) that was not decided until Husky OLB Dan Howell returned a fourthquarter interception 33 yards for a TD that proved to be the final score. TB Chris Markey rushed for 124 yards and a TD for the Bruins.
