BEAVERS SOLD OUT OF SEASON TICKETS: For the first time in Oregon State football history the Beavers will open a year with all season tickets sold out. OSU officially sold out all 23,000 available season tickets on July 16. The Beavers sold 14,700 season ticket s in 2000 and 11,500 in 1999. OSU opens individual game ticket sales for remaining tickets on Wednesday, August 1. The OSU-Washington game, scheduled for Nov. 10, is already sold out. Less than 800 tickets remain for the OSU-UCLA game on Sept. 29. Under 2,500 tickets remain for the home opener with Montana State on Sept. 15 and less than 1,500 tickets remain for the OSU-Arizona (Oct. 13) contest and OSU-California game on Oct. 27.

TEAM NOTES FROM NATIONAL PUBLICATIONS: Athlon Magazine rates OSU's running backs as the best in the nation. The Sporting News rates OSU's backfield as the fourth best in the nation. The Sporting News also rates the Beavers' linebackers sixth best and secondary fourth best. Lindy's Magazine rates OSU's backfield as the fourth best in the nation.

NATIONAL PUBLICATIONS RATE THE BEAVERS: Preseason national publications have rated Oregon State to finish as high as seventh nationally and as low as 20th. The Beavers have been selected to win the Pac-10 and to finish as low as fifth. Here is a look at where the preseason publications have the Beavers selected:
