GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Defensive tackle Mike Lodish most likely will retire, ending an 11-year career in which he played in an NFL-record six Super Bowls, including two with the Denver Broncos.

"I think right now he's still thinking football, but if that doesn't happen he's going to have to do something else," agent Jack Wirth said Tuesday.

His contract with the Broncos expired after last season. Wirth said the 33-year-old lineman did not receive any offers during the offseason.

Lodish played in four Super Bowls with Buffalo before moving to Denver as a free agent in 1995. Buffalo selected Lodish out of UCLA in the 10th round of the 1990 draft.

The 6-foot-3, 270-pound Lodish played 54 games and recorded 92 tackles with the Broncos. The team overhauled its defensive line during the offseason.

Lodish wants to stay close to football, possibly as a scout or broadcaster, Wirth said.
