ABC Selects Two Husky Football Games in September
May. 1, 2005 Seattle - The Pac-10 Conference Office announced today that ABC Sports has announced the network's early selections/telecast windows for the 2005 season. A pair of Washington home games in September have been picked for telecast. Washington's home opener against California on September 10 and the Huskies September 24 matchup with Notre Dame were among ABC's early picks. Both games will kickoff at 12:30 p.m. PT. The Cal game will be head coach Tyrone Willingham's first home game at Husky Stadium. The Sept. 24 matchup with the Irish matches Willingham against the school where he coached the past three seasons. The telecast windows that do not include a matchup will be selected by ABC on either a 12 or six-day prior to kickoff. FSN and Turner Sports, the Pac-10s other broadcast partners, will provide their early selections to the Pac-10 Conference by June 1. Washington's season-opener against Air Force on Sept. 3 at Qwest Field is the Falcons' home game. Television for the game will be part of the Mountain West Conference's television package with its network partners.
