In each of the first five years of the Pacific Life Pac-10 Basketball Tournamnent, a different school has captured the tournament title. The winner of the tournament receives the Pac-10 automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Last year, it was UCLA's turn to cut down the nets en route to an appearance in the NCAA National Championship game. All 10 teams fight to survive and make it to the post season. This year, the competition will be better than ever with several Pac-10 teams receiving national rankings and recognition.
