UCLA captured the Pacific Life Pac-10 title and earned the Pac-10's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins, who captured their third consecutive Pac-10 regular season crown, and 30th league title overall, enter the NCAA Tournament as the top seed in the West Regional... Five additional Pac-10 teams (STANFORD, WASHINGTON STATE, USC, OREGON and ARIZONA) were at-large selections, giving the Pac-10 a record-tying six teams in the NCAA Tournament (also achieved in 2002 and 2007)... ARIZONA STATE and CALIFORNIA will participate in the NIT, while WASHINGTON hosts CBI action. That gives the Pac-10 a record nine teams in postseason play. The previous high was seven on four occasions (1990, 1994, 1997, 2002)... The 2007-08 Pac-10 season has arguably been the most competitive in league history. For the first time in Pac-10 history, nine league teams finished regular season play with a winning record.
