Nine Pac-10 Players Selected In 2009 NBA Draft

ARIZONA STATE's James Harden was taken by Oklahoma City with the third pick overall in the 2009 NBA Draft, leading six Pac-10 players selected in the first round and nine selected overall in the two rounds of the Draft.

Washington's Pondexter Named To USA Basketball World University Games Team, WSU's Casto And Thompson Make U19 World Championship Roster

Following three days of trials at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA Basketball today announced the 12-member team that will represent the USA in the 2009 World University Games, July 2-11 in Belgrade, Serbia. The player selections were made by the USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team Committee, chaired by Syracuse University's Jim Boeheim.

University of Arizona guard Nic Wise (Houston, Texas) has accepted an invitation to attend the 2009 USA Men's World University Games Team Trials June 16-18 in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA Basketball announced today.

Pac-10 Names 2008-09 Tom Hansen Conference Medal Winners

The 2008-09 Pacific-10 Tom Hansen Conference Medal winners were announced today. A Conference Medal is awarded annually to each member institution's outstanding senior male and female student-athlete based on the exhibition of the greatest combination of performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership. The Pac-10 recently renamed the award the Tom Hansen Conference Medal in honor of Hansen, who is retiring at the end of June after serving 26 years as Commissioner of the Pac-10.
