The Pac-10 entered postseason play with four teams on the road to Omaha, but after two rounds of play, just two teams remain as ARIZONA STATE and OREGON STATE lead the pack to Omaha ... The Sun Devils travel to Omaha where they will compete in their 20th CWS and their third under Head Coach Pat Murphy. The last time ASU advanced to the Series came in 2005 where the Sun Devils finished third in the national event ... Defending national champion Oregon State advances to the College World Series for the third straight season. Last season, the Beavers won six elimination games before beating North Carolina for the title ... The double-elimination tournament features the winners of the eight super regionals, and includes four teams that did not make it to Omaha last year and two teams (Louisville and UC Irvine) making their first-ever trip to the Men's College World Series ... Every College World Series game will be televised live by ESPN or ESPN2, and all are available in high definition ... The Pac-10 boasts three teams among the nation's leaders, here's where they rank this week (Baseball America): Arizona State (3) , Oregon State (6) and UCLA (22). Sat., June 9 Sun., June 10 Mon., June 11 Walnut Creek, Calif. - Forty-two players from the Pac-10 Conference were chosen in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft. ARIZONA STATE led the Conference with a total of eight players selected, ARIZONA and WASHINGTON followed with seven, while OREGON STATE and USC had six each. ARIZONA STATE (48-13, 19-5): The Sun Devils crushed Mississippi's dreams of making the trip to Omaha as they took the first two games of the Super Regional last week. Mississippi starter Will Kline kept the Arizona State hitters off balance for eight strong innings of Game One of the Tempe Super Regional. Fortunately for Sun Devil fans, Kline was not as sharp in the ninth, as ASU scored three times in the ninth to claim a 4-3 walk-off victory in front of 4,247 fans at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark ... Starting pitcher Josh Satow pitched 7.2 scoreless innings and Brett Wallace went 4-for-5 with three RBI to lead the Arizona State University Sun Devils to a 7-1 victory over Mississippi in the second game of the Tempe Super Regional and clinching the Sun Devils' place in the 2007 College World Series. ASU improved to 48-13 on the year after sweeping their Super Regional at home while the Rebels completed their season with a 40-25 record ... ASU will open play in Omaha this weekend and will face UC Irvine, who swept host Wichita State in the Super Regional ... Wallace was named the 2007 District IX Player of the Year as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). Wallace, who is the Pac-10 Player of the Year, was also named a Louisville Slugger First Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and Rivals.com. The sophomore was named the District IX Player of the Year after leading the Sun Devils to the Pac-10 Championship and a berth in this weekend's NCAA Super Regionals versus Mississippi in Tempe. The Sun Devils entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 5 national seed. He is hitting .420 (102-for-243) with 15 home runs and 74 RBI. He has also added 73 runs scored, 16 doubles and five triples. Wallace, who won the Pac-10 regular-season triple crown, is the 12th Sun Devil to earn the Pac-10 Player of the Year honors. OREGON STATE (44-18, 10-14): Saturday's opening game of the NCAA Super Regional baseball series between Michigan and Oregon State was rained out and rescheduled for Sunday afternoon ... OSU's only hit of the game drove in the only run of the game as the 25th-ranked Beavers beat Michigan 1-0 in NCAA Super Regional baseball Sunday at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. Joey Wong's two-out single through the left side scored pinch-runner Braden Wells from second base as OSU (43-18) captured the opening game of the best-of-three series ... Oregon State pitcher Jorge Reyes' 7.0 innings matched the longest appearance of his career, which had come May 6 in a victory at Washington ... Oregon State pitcher Joe Paterson earned his third win of the postseason; he had earned 2 wins and 1 save during the NCAA Charlottesville Regional. For Paterson, a member of OSU's starting rotation throughout the season, it was his second relief win of the year, both coming in the postseason ... The attendance of 3,284 was a post-1999 renovation record for Goss Stadium at Coleman Field; the old record was 3,194 for the second game of the 2006 NCAA Corvallis Super Regional against Stanford on June 11, 2006. The all-time record for the ballpark is 5,000 for the final game of the NCAA Regional championship series against Fresno State on June 7, 1952 ... After Sunday's shutout, Oregon State's staff has pitched 16 straight scoreless innings. The Beavers have not give up a run since allowing Virginia a three-run second inning in the final game of the NCAA Charlottesville Regional ... Sunday was the second time that OSU has been one-hit this season. Arizona State turned the trick in an 8-1 Sun Devil victory on May 20 in Corvallis. Prior to that, the Beavers hadn't been one-hit by an opposing team since at least 1997. UCLA (33-28, 14-10): The UCLA baseball team dropped a 12-2 decision at Cal State Fullerton in game one of the NCAA Super Regionals Saturday evening. Sophomore shortstop Brandon Crawford led the Bruins' offense, hitting 2-for-4 with two RBI ... Crawford registered his team-leading 16th multi-RBI game of the season ... Crawford and Alden Carrithers have each tallied 26 multi-hit efforts this season ... Sophomore right-hander Jason Novak pitched two scoreless innings of relief ... UCLA played in its first Super Regional contest since 2000 ... Freshman left-hander Gavin Brooks struck out a career-high 12 hitters in his third consecutive complete game to lead the UCLA baseball team in a 2-1 loss at Cal State Fullerton Sunday evening, as the Bruins were eliminated in a best-of-three Super Regional series ... Brooks finished the season with a 1.34 ERA in his last four starts - three complete games, 28 strikeouts, six walks and a .167 opponent batting average ... UCLA's trip to the postseason marked the Bruins' 14th appearance and the program's second Super Regional berth...eight of UCLA's 10 starters from Sunday's lineup will return to the team in 2008.
