WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Pacific-10 Conference outdoor track and field athlete of the week honors for the week of April 21-27:

Men's Track Athlete of the Week: ANDREW WHEATING, OREGON (So., Norwich, Vt.). Wheating won the mile at the Oregon Relays in a time of 3:58.16. Converted to a 1,500 meter time of 3:39.96, it ranks as the top mark in the Pac-10 this season and 11th all-time among Oregon milers. He's the first native of Vermont to run a sub-4:00 mile.

Men's Field Athletes of the Week: DUSTIN DeLEO, UCLA (Jr., Seal Beach, Calif.). The junior cleared 18-1 to finish first at the UCSD Triton Invitational in La Jolla, Calif. He added nearly a foot to his previous lifetime best of 17-3 achieved the previous week. The mark places him No. 5 on UCLA's all-time list and No.2 in the nation this season.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week: NICOLE BLOOD, OREGON (So., Simi Valley, Calif.). Blood ran the fastest 1,500 meter time in the Pac-10 this season with a clocking of 4:18.55 at the Oregon Relays. Her time ranks sixth nationally, and is the seventh-best time in Oregon history. Blood also owns the Pac-10's best time this season in the 5,000 meters, 15:43.82, ran last week at the Mt. SAC Relays.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week: RACHEL YURKOVICH, OREGON (Jr., Newberg, Ore.). Yurkovich broke her own Pac-10 and Oregon javelin record with a throw of 191-01 to win the event at the Oregon Relays. It's the top mark nationally in the NCAA this season.
