PACIFIC-10 CONFERENCE OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Pacific-10 Conference outdoor track and field athlete of the week honors for the week of April 18-24: Men's Track Athlete of the Week: AARON AGUAYO, Arizona State (So., Phoenix, Ariz.). Aguayo broke a 15-year old school record as he clocked a 13:49.11 in the 5,000 meters at the Oregon Invitational in Eugene. His mark was the first time a Sun Devil runner has ever gone below 13:51 in a race. Men's Field Athlete of the Week: ANDY YOUNG, Oregon (RJr., Newburg, Ore.). At the Oregon Invite (Thursday, April 21 - Friday, April 22), Young won the decathlon with an NCAA provisional score of 7,329 points. He notched a season-best in eight of the ten events. Only five collegians had scored higher decathlon totals than Young before last weekend. Women's Track Athlete of the Week: ASHLEY LODREE, Washington (So., Richmond, Calif.). Running the 400-meter hurdles for just the second time in her career, Lodree clocked a Pac-10 leading time of 59.65 second to win the Oregon Invitational. Her mark was the ninth-fastest in UW history, and the fastest by an Husky since 2000. She also led the Huskies in the 4x400-meter relay with a winning time of 3:44.58, good for ninth on the school's all-time list. Lodree now ranks among UW's all-time top-10 in eight different events.
