SKILLMAN, N.J. -- Ten Pac-10 women’s tennis players and three men’s players were named to the 2009 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-America Teams for Division I Tennis, the ITA announced today.

CALIFORNIA’S Mari Andersson and Jana Juricova, who captured the 2009 NCAA Doubles Championship, highlight the list for the Conference.

Joining the Cal duo on the women’s side are STANFORD’s Hilary Barte and Lindsay Burdette, who finished runner-up to Andersson and Juricova in the doubles championship.

ARIZONA STATE sophomores Kelcy McKenna and Micaela Hein were also tabbed All-Americans after advancing to the quarterfinals in the NCAA doubles draw. UCLA and Pac-10 Champion USC each placed two players on the team. Sophomore Andrea Remynse and junior Yasmin Schnack represent the Bruins, while senior Amanda Fink and junior Gabriela Niculescu, the Pac-10 doubles champs, represent the Trojans.

On the men’s side, USC, the 2009 NCAA Team Champion, places junior Robert Farah and freshman Steve Johnson on the team. The pair advanced to the Round of 16 of the NCAA Doubles Championship. Stanford's Alex Clayton, last year’s ITA Rookie of the Year, also earns All-America status after finishing his season in the quarterfinals of the NCAA singles draw.

A player must meet any of the following criteria to earn ITA All-America honors: Singles 1.) Top 16 seed in NCAA Singles Championships, or; 2.) Reach round of 16 in NCAA Singles Championships, or; 3.) Finish in the Top 20 of the final ITA Rankings. Doubles 1.) Top eight seed in NCAA Doubles Championships, or; 2.) Reach quarterfinals of NCAA Doubles Championship, or; 3.) Finish in Top 10 of final ITA Rankings.
