ITA Announces Division I Men's Preseason Rankings

The Pac-10 has 17 players ranked in the recently released ITA Division I preseason singles rankings, including two in the top 10. Seven doubles teams are also ranked, including two in the top 10.

UCLA's Lumpkin and Arizona's Sheedy Named Oroweat "Healthy Minds" Postgraduate Scholarship Winners

Elizabeth Lumpkin, former women's tennis player at UCLA and Craig Sheedy, former diver at ARIZONA, have been selected as winners of the 2008-09 Oroweat "Healthy Minds" Postgraduate Scholarship, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.

Pacific-10 Conference Athletes Recognized as Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars

The Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars, which are presented by the Diverse: Issues In High Education magazine, were recently named, recognizing the academic achievements of 49 Pacific-10 Conference student-athletes from four member institutions. Named for the famed tennis player and scholar Arthur Ashe, student-athletes have to compete in an intercollegiate sport, maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 and be active on their campuses or in their communities to be eligible for the award.
