BERKELEY - Four members of Cal's crew teams - three men and one woman - were named to the 2003 All-Pac-10 team, the conference announced Thursday.

Junior Ian McGowan, senior Jeff Nalty and senior Mladen Stegic received the nod on the men's side, while junior Ariana Canova gained mention for the women.

At the Pac-10 championships in May, the Cal men finished second in the varsity 8 race, but claimed the overall league title based on high finishes in the other boats, with Pac-10 titles coming in the JV 8, freshman 8 and varsity 4 races.

The Golden Bear women were the Pac-10 runners-up after winning conference championships in the JV 8 and varsity 8 events. Cal was also fourth in the varsity 8 and second in the novice 8 competitions.
