The USC Trojans successfully defended their Pac-10 title, capturing back-to-back league crowns for the first time since 1972- 1973. USC won by 15 strokes over second place STANFORD, capturing its 17th Conference title overall. OREGON STATE was third, followed by UCLA and OREGON. Three Trojans placed in the top five, led by Pac-10 Golfer of the Year Kevin Stadler, who tied for second at 3-under 285. USC's Ben Hayes, the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, fired a final round 69 to tie for fourth with sophomore teammate Scott Oxandaboure. Both carded a 2-under 286. Stanford's Jim Seki took medalist honors with a 4-under 284.

ARIZONA's Ricky Barnes and Chris Nallen led the Wildcats to a tie for ninth place at the NCAA Championships. WASHINGTON finished 11th behind the play of Brock MacKenzie.

Washington State's Walt Williams was named the Pac-10 Men's Golf Coach of the Year.
