The State Farm Pride of the Pac Program annually honors the unique winners of the Conference's most prestigious annual award, the Pac-10 Medal.

Each man and woman awarded a Conference medal is judged to be the most outstanding male or female student-athlete on his or her campus based on exhibition of the greatest combination of performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership. Considering the large number of All-Americans and Olympians on the campuses of the Conference's 10 research institutions, where academic competition is as fierce as that in any arena and leaders abound, to be proclaimed the best is a signal achievement.
