This Week In Pac-10 Men's Soccer

The Golden Bears were awarded with their eighth-straight postseason appearance with an at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament. Cal shut out Stanford, 1-0, in its regular season finale. RS-JR F Jacob Wilson scored the game-winning goal for the Bears, who finished second in the Conference. The Golden Bears play host to San Francisco, a team they defeated 2-0 on Sept. 26, on Friday, Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m. The winner will play at UC Santa Barbara on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m.

    This Week in Pac-10 Football

    Golden Bears close out the regular season with home games against Stanford and Washington. . . . TB Jahvid Best ripped off a 65-yard touchdown run at Oregon State last week, his fourth TD run of 65 yards or longer this season. Best rushed for 116 yards and added 94 yards on kickoff returns to go over 200 all-purpose yards in a game for the fourth time this season. . . . Cal leads the Pac-10 in turnover margin at +7 largely because of a league-leading 18 interceptions in 10 games. The Bears had just 10 picks all of last year. Three of the Cal interceptions have been returned for touchdowns.

    This week's action is loaded with 20 games on the schedule... ARIZONA will be the final Pac-10 team to open the season as it takes on Florida Atlantic in the opening round of the NIT Season Tip-Off... The Pac-10 posted a 8-2 record in the first week of play as No. 4 UCLA opened the 2K Sports Classic with a pair of wins and has now advanced to meet Michigan in the semifinals at Madison Square Garden... This week's rankings include UCLA (No. 4 AP/No. 4 ESPN/USA Today), Arizona State (15/15), and USC (19/20).
