W. Gymnastics. Stanford's Morgan Named Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week

It's the first time since the 2006 season that all 10 teams have each won at least 10 games, and the 10th time since 1978-79. In 31 years of Pac-10 play, seven times the league champion sported a 14-4 record in league play.

April Cook (Carson, Calif.) scored a career-high 33 points against Arizona State on Saturday, leading WSU to its first league win of the season and the Cougars' first victory in Tempe, Ariz. in 13 years, 66-62. The victory also snapped an 11-game losing streak to ASU, spanning nearly six years. The 33 points were the most scored by a Cougar in over a decade and the ninth-most all-time in the program's history. Cook netted a career-high 13 field goals on 18 attempts (.722), leading WSU to its fourth-largest comeback win after being down as many as 13 points.

Pac-10 Names Weiberg Deputy Commissioner, Chief Operating Officer

Larry Scott, commissioner of the Pac-10 Conference, announced today that former Big 12 commissioner and Big Ten executive, Kevin Weiberg, will join the Pac-10 as Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer. The appointment is effective April 12, 2010.

Four Pac-10 women's basketball players were named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 8 team, which was announced this week by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). OREGON's Amanda Johnson and ARIZONA STATE's Danielle Orsillo were named to the first team and OREGON STATE's Talisa Rhea and Kirsten Tilleman were named to the second team.
